free easy knit patterns

Knitters were first believed to have begun their craft in the first few centuries AD. Sock-knitting machines are used to make socks.

If you pick a simple pattern, knitting is really easy! If you're an absolute beginner or just feeling a little lack of confidence, knit up some scarves in chunky, beautiful yarn. Knitting has been around for thousands of years, and probably always will be. In knitting certain articles of clothing, especially larger ones like sweaters, the final knitted garment will be made of several knitted pieces, with individual sections of the garment knit separately and then sewn together.

On the left are a pair of scissors, a yarn needle, green and blue stitch markers, and two orange point protectors. Your knitting yarn will be hanging in front. Two, learning how to knit requires self-discipline and steadfastness.

You watch it come to life as you go, and little by little, your knitting becomes reality. Keep looking around this site for lots of tips, patterns, resources and ideas.
